Fresh for Fall

Now that it is officially fall, I think this little blog needs a new look. What do you think? I’m digging all the earth tones going on in the style world.

So I had every intention of sharing with you guys a new Skinny recipe, but alas, it’s not gonna happen today folks. I know, I know, excuses, excuses. But seriously, this is what all I have going on right now:

So yeah, I’m busy. But once I’m done, look at all the fabulous tutorials I will have for you! Exciting yes, but all in good time.

Oh, and did I mention I’m helping with a local Breast Cancer Awareness campaign? Yeah, I’m psycho busy over here. Not to mention I just ordered new Save the Date magnets, which I can’t wait to share! And that reminds me! I have an original Blueprint Crafts Wedding Invitation set to share with you guys! Hopefully I’ll find time to snap some pictures tonight.

Off to get some work done!

Weddings

Two of my close friends that I graduated with at JMU recently got married :) Unfortunately I wasn’t able to attend, however I sent along a few goodies they were able to use for the wedding.

Such as these JMU color-themed toss and keep garters!

And these Thank You bunting flags!

How cute! Dave and Jenny used this picture to make postcards to send in lieu of thank you cards – what a great idea!

Going to the Chapel

January 28th, 2011

January has been SUPER busy for me. Ok, maybe a little more lazy than busy, but I have a few things to share with you all nonetheless!

First up, I wanna give a big shout out to my sister, Aubrey who just got engaged this weekend!

Congrats to Aubrey and Zack!

Also, I wanted to share some save the date magnets I designed for my good friend Danielle – they turned out AWESOME!

I had them printed through Vistaprint, and they FAR exceeded my expectations!

If you are looking for someone to print your save the date magnets, I HIGHLY recommend them!

That’s all for now, but I’ll have more for next week. I’m planning on finishing some WAY overdue projects, and starting/finishing another men’s shirt redo! So excited to share!

Congratulations!

My beautiful cousin, Wendy, got married over the fourth of July weekend last month. For her wedding gift, I made her ring bearer pillow. She just sent me the link to her wedding photos, and they are absolutely STUNNING! So I contacted the photographer, Wally, from Wally Spice Photography to see if I could share some of the beautiful pictures from the wedding, and of my pillow, of course, haha. He was gracious enough to send me some photos to share with you all. Take a look!

This picture is of my Uncle Dave, Aunt Yvonne, cousin Wendy, her husband Kevin, and cousin Leah. I love this picture! I have such a beautiful extended family!

I so wish I had been able to attend the wedding. It looked like such a beautiful, and memorable event. This last photo is my favorite, just stunning.

Wedding Crafts

By the number of orders I’ve been receiving for wedding items, I can definitely say that wedding season is in full swing!

First, I’d like to share these ridiculously adorable pictures of Miss Grace modeling her flower girl dress. I wish I had before pictures to show how HUGE this dress was on her! This was my first ‘bridal’ alteration I’ve done, and I have to say that I am quite proud of the results. And while the color choices for the dress are well, interesting (haha), you can’t deny the fact that Miss Grace is simply adorable. She sure knows how to react to a camera!

Just look at her pose – hilarious.

I think it’s time for this little diva to be put into a pageant.

Bustin’ a move, haha.

Next up, I designed a ring bearer pillow for my cousin’s wedding. Her colors are red, cream, and black, and with my theme being vintage summer, I decided to give this pillow a vintage/victorian feel.

If you look closely, I added a little pearl and silver bead to the center of the rose. So romantic.

I can’t wait to see pictures from the wedding, my cousin is going to make such a beautiful bride!
